Deep Plane Face Lift in Mexico
Deep Plane Face Lift
The deep plane face lift works one layer below a standard SMAS lift. The retaining ligaments that tether the face are carefully released, so the SMAS, fat and skin can be repositioned together as a single unit — without tension. The effect is a re-volumised midface and a clean jawline that looks natural and ages gracefully. See our detailed guide to the endoscopic deep plane facelift.
Who is a good candidate?
Adults with a heavy midface, deep nasolabial folds and pronounced jowls who want the most complete correction, in good health and non-smokers. It is also an excellent choice for patients seeking a natural, long-lasting result without a tight appearance.
Expected results
A lifted, re-volumised midface, softened folds and a defined jawline — all looking natural because the tissues move as one. Results settle at 2 to 3 months and are notably durable.
How the Surgery is Done
The deep plane lift is performed under general anaesthesia with a certified anesthesiologist.
Step 1 — access
Discreet incisions around the ear and hairline give access to the deep plane.
Step 2 — ligament release
The retaining ligaments are released so the composite flap (SMAS, fat and skin) can move freely as one unit.
Step 3 — repositioning & closure
The flap is repositioned upward and slightly back, restoring midface volume without tension, and closed with fine sutures.
Incisions & Scars
Incisions follow the natural creases around the ear and hairline, identical in appearance to other face-lift techniques. Because the lift is tension-free, the skin heals under minimal stress and scars remain fine and discreet.
